Behind the Beans: A Video Journey with North County Roasters

At Video Pro San Diego, we've always been captivated by stories. Our latest project led us to a unique narrative, nestled in the heart of Oceanside, California - North County Roasters. This small coffee roastery, established in 2020, has a tremendous passion for coffee and an unyielding dedication to revealing the unique flavors of coffee from around the globe.

Our mission was to capture the spirit of North County Roasters, and who better to guide us than Jason Walker, their master roaster. His role extends beyond the typical - he's involved in every step of the coffee process, from selecting beans with their distributor, Genuine Origin, to serving the freshly roasted coffee to customers.

The story of North County Roasters isn't just about coffee - it's about community. This became evident when we discovered that North County Roastery is a significant part of the Fin Hotel campus, working harmoniously with the Switchboard Restaurant. They take the lead on breakfast and coffee services, creating a welcoming atmosphere for hotel guests, restaurant customers, and the general public.

Our journey with North County Roasters allowed us to dive into a typical day for a master roaster, beginning bright and early at 6 am. The day starts by organizing the coffee shop, brewing that first pot of coffee, serving customers during the busy breakfast rush, and then firing up the coffee roaster for several hours of roasting.

Capturing the essence of this artisan process and translating it into a visually compelling narrative was our goal at Video Pro San Diego.
